Gord’s extensive and dynamic background ranges from ownership of a multimillion dollar food production facility to the invention of TRAK Kayak that was recognized by National Geographic as, "The World's Best.". Prior to his career as an entrepreneur, Gord was a bush pilot and air base manager in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada and a Social Worker. During his social work career he created the first of its kind, job creation program with a goal to transform the welfare system.
Throughout his remarkable career and life, Gord’s guiding business vision has been to cause ‘Money and Meaning’ or in today’s terms - social venture - where social and sustainable impact are the real keys to a company’s success.
When Gord is not innovating ideas for Virchew, he’s biking gorgeous ocean pathways or spending time with his 4 children and 6 grandchildren. He lives in Vancouver, BC with his partner, Laura and their impatient, sassy, border collie, Seva.
